Most haemodialysis patients attend sessions three times a week, typically on alternating days such as Monday, Wednesday and Friday or Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Your nephrologist will determine the schedule that best suits your individual health condition and treatment needs.
What should I bring to my first dialysis session?
For your first visit, please bring your identification card, referral letter from your doctor or nephrologist, any relevant medical reports or blood test results, a list of current medications, and comfortable clothing that allows easy access to your dialysis access point, usually located on your arm.
Can I continue my dialysis treatment if I travel to another state?
Yes. As part of the Gedung Penawar network of 60+ centres across Peninsular Malaysia, you can continue your dialysis treatment at any of our branches nationwide without incurring extra fees. Simply inform our team in advance so we can coordinate with the branch nearest to your travel destination.
Is dialysis treatment painful?
